The UCI baseball team paid a spirited visit to patients at Children's Hospital of Orange County Jan. 29, the first in a series of visits scheduled this year. "Our visit was really eye-opening and gave us all a perspective on what's really important in life," says senior Ben Orloff. "I will never forget the kids we were lucky enough to meet. It was an experience I will take with me the rest of my life." A strategic affiliation among CHOC, UC Irvine Healthcare and UC Irvine School of Medicine took effect Jan. 1 to better serve children and families. The baseball team visits are one more example of the blending of Anteater and CHOCO bear cultures.
