Free Film Series, July 7-Aug. 25

UCI Summer Session and the Department of Film & Media Studies will present a Free Film Series every Thursday evening in July and August. Screenings will include free snacks and a post-film discussion led by the series curators, visual studies graduate students. July's movie theme is "Screening the Invisible" and August's is "Through the Looking-Glass, Doubly: Photography in Film." 7 p.m. Humanities Instructional Building, Room 100.

Arboretum plant sale, July 9

Purple blooms

'NCI Discovery 2011,' July 30

UCI assistant professor of dance Molly Lynch will direct "NCI Discovery," featuring four new ballets presented by the National Choreographers Initiative and performed by 16 professional dancers from ballet companies nationwide. 8 p.m. Saturday, July 30.
