Libraries fall exhibit opening, Nov. 18

The debut of UCI Libraries' fall exhibit, "Discovery of a Lifetime: F. Sherwood Rowland & the Ozone Layer," will be marked by an evening with the world-renowned atmospheric scientist, complete with a talk by UCI Chancellor Emeritus Ralph J. Cicerone, president of the National Academy of Sciences, and remarks by Chancellor Michael Drake. The exhibit, which continues through April 2012, celebrates the research contributions of Rowland, winner of the 1995 Nobel Prize in chemistry and UCI's Donald Bren Research Professor in Chemistry and Earth System Science. 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
